Client Booking Terms
Booking & Cancellation Policy
By securing your event with a booking fee, you accept the terms set out below — and thank you for valuing the time and effort that goes into coordinating your event.
Section One
The Booking Fee.
A non-refundable booking fee is required to secure every booking. This fee is not a deposit. It is payment for the work performed by Sydney Elite in securing your event — including holding your date, allocating and confirming entertainers, removing those entertainers from other available bookings, arranging travel and (where required) accommodation, and the time spent corresponding with you to finalise your booking.
The minimum booking fee is $150–$200 per entertainer. The exact amount will be quoted to you before you confirm. This can come off the total if the booking proceeds as intended.
It is otherwise non-refundable — in respect of my time and energy, and the entertainers who reserve and keep this time free, and make arrangements based on confirmed bookings.
Bookings outside Sydney CBD.
Events outside the Sydney CBD or Greater Sydney metropolitan area may attract a higher booking fee to reflect the additional costs and risks involved, including: higher entertainer travel costs, out-of-town accommodation booked or held for the job, entertainers travelling to or staying in the location ahead of the event, additional agency time, and the loss of revenue from other bookings the entertainers could otherwise have been allocated to.
The applicable booking fee for out-of-area bookings will be quoted to you up front and must be paid in full to confirm.
The booking fee is non-refundable in all circumstances except where:
(a) Sydney Elite cancels the booking entirely and is unable to provide an agreed replacement; or
(b) the cancellation results from an error or fault on the part of Sydney Elite.
This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law where they apply and cannot be excluded.
Payment of the booking fee constitutes acceptance of this policy in full.
Section Two
The Right to Substitute.
Sydney Elite reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute any booked entertainer with another of comparable standard at any time prior to or during the booking — including where the originally-booked entertainer becomes unavailable due to illness, injury, transport disruption, personal circumstances, or any other reason.
A substitution made under this clause does not entitle the client to a refund of the booking fee, a discount, or cancellation of the booking, provided a comparable replacement is offered.
If Sydney Elite is unable to provide a comparable replacement and the booking cannot proceed as a result, the booking fee for the affected entertainer(s) only will be refunded.
Section Three
Reducing the Number of Entertainers.
If you reduce the number of entertainers booked, the booking fee for each removed entertainer is forfeited and non-refundable.
Booking fees paid for removed entertainers will not be reallocated towards the balance owing on the night for the remaining entertainers, unless:
- the reduction is notified to Sydney Elite in writing more than 14 days before the booking date; and
- Sydney Elite agrees, at its sole discretion, to reallocate the fee.
Reductions notified within 14 days of the booking date are treated as a partial cancellation, and the cancellation fees in Section Four apply to the removed entertainers.
Section Four
Cancellation by the Client.
A cancellation fee applies per entertainer based on the notice given before the booking start time.
Within 24 Hours / No-Show
$200–$250 per entertainer
24–48 Hours
$150 per entertainer
The cancellation fee is payable regardless of whether a booking fee has been collected. Where a booking fee has been paid, it is credited towards the cancellation fee and the difference is charged. Where no booking fee has been paid, the cancellation fee is payable in full.
For out-of-area bookings, additional non-refundable costs already incurred (e.g. accommodation pre-paid, travel already undertaken) will be charged at cost in addition to the cancellation fee.
Cancellation fees must be paid within 7 days of the cancelled booking. Unpaid fees may result in future bookings being declined.
Section Five
Cancellation by Sydney Elite.
Sydney Elite reserves the right to cancel a booking, in whole or in part, where:
- the client or any guest behaves in a manner that is unsafe, threatening, abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable to the entertainers or agency;
- the client breaches any agreed terms (including failure to pay the balance upfront, attempting to negotiate services not booked, or recording without consent);
- the client or guests are intoxicated to a degree that compromises the entertainers’ safety or ability to work;
- the booking address, guest count, or nature of the event has been materially misrepresented.
Where Sydney Elite cancels under this clause, no refund is payable (booking fee or balance), and the client may also be liable for any costs reasonably incurred up to that point.
Where Sydney Elite cancels for any reason not within this clause and is unable to provide a comparable replacement, the booking fee will be refunded in full.
Section Six
Acknowledgement.
By paying the booking fee, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted this policy in full, and that the booking fee is paid in consideration of the services described above and is non-refundable on the terms set out.
This page is linked and sent to clients with every quote. Not reading it is not the fault of Sydney Elite, and all terms and conditions remain applicable.
